Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Brickable Mezuzah (“we,” “us”) collects when you use this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It's written for customers in the United States. Questions? Email shopbrickable@gmail.com.

What we collect and why

We keep data collection to what's needed to run the shop:

• Your cart and shipping ZIP. Stored in your own browser (local storage) so your cart survives a refresh and we can estimate shipping by distance. This stays on your device and is only sent to us when you start checkout.
• Order information. When you check out, our payment processor (Stripe) collects your name, email, shipping and billing address, and payment details to process the order and ship it. We receive your order and shipping details so we can fulfill it. We never see or store your full card number.
• Custom order inquiries. If you use the custom order form, we collect your name, email, optional phone number, and your message so we can reply and quote your project.
• Basic security logs. Our server briefly uses your IP address to rate-limit forms and checkout so the site isn't abused. It isn't used to profile or track you.

Cookies and tracking

We do not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or third-party trackers. We don't build advertising profiles and we don't follow you across other sites.

The only thing we store in your browser is essential local storage (technically not a cookie, but similar): your cart, your shipping ZIP, and your choice on the notice banner. Without it the cart wouldn't work. The banner lets you accept or reject any optional storage — and today there is none to reject, so rejecting simply records your preference for the future.

Who we share it with

We don't sell or rent your personal information. We share only what's necessary with service providers that help us run the shop:

• Stripe — payment processing and checkout. See Stripe's Privacy Policy. Checkout happens on Stripe's own pages, under their cookie and privacy practices.
• Shipping carriers — we share the name and address needed to deliver your order.

How long we keep it

We keep order records as long as needed to fulfill orders and meet tax and legal obligations. Custom inquiry messages are kept until your request is resolved and then deleted periodically. Data stored in your browser stays until you clear it (see below) or your browser removes it.

Your choices and rights

You can delete the data we store on your device right now, and you can ask us to delete data tied to your orders or inquiries at any time.

To delete order or inquiry data held by us, email shopbrickable@gmail.com from the address you used, and we'll delete what we can within 30 days (we may keep records we're legally required to retain, like completed-sale receipts).

California privacy rights

If you're a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA gives you the right to know what personal information we collect, to request its deletion, to correct it, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information, and we won't discriminate against you for exercising these rights. To make a request, email shopbrickable@gmail.com.

Children

Our kits are built for all ages, but this store is intended for adults making purchases. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the shop grows. When we do, we'll change the “Last updated” date at the top. Material changes will be made clear on this page.
